Hello St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish School Community,
I am very excited to introduce myself, Audrey Blanchette, as the new principal of St. Ignatius of Loyola School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead such an incredible school and community.
For the past four years, I have served as the principal at St. Turibius School, with one year as a co-principal. In my final year there, I had the privilege of serving as a mentor principal, providing on-site training for the Onward Leaders Program with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Additionally, I am part of the Onward Leader Program and come from the STEM Network, where we equipped and empowered students and teachers through transformational learning styles. While I am saddened to leave my current school, I am thrilled about this next journey in my career and for my family.
I bring seven years of experience in education within the Archdiocese, having taught middle school ELA, fifth grade ELA and religion, and second grade math, science, social studies, along with sacrament preparation. As a product of Catholic education, I attended Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal School in Montebello and Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente.
My commitment is to uphold our mission and vision of our school. In addition, to equip students with the knowledge and faith to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and the saints.
I am also deeply committed to fostering relationships with the MSJ Dominican traditions and charism, ensuring that these values remain essential to our school community.
Education is a lifelong process, and I am eager to learn about the unique qualities of St. Ignatius of Loyola School in the years to come. My focus will always be on ensuring that students are at the center of all school-related decisions. I am excited to bring my experience, openness to learning, and student-centered approach to support our school community.
As a mother of two boys under the age of three and a wife, I understand the importance of family involvement in education. I highly encourage you to become involved in every way possible to make our school community even more unique and vibrant.
I look forward to a successful school year and to meeting all of you soon!
May God bless you,
Audrey Blanchette
